Anatomy of Time
Anatomy Of Time - The Henderson - Zaha Hadid Architects, Hong Kong
Anatomy of Time
Anatomy of Time is a major new commission, permanently installed within the publicly accessible flowing contours of The Henderson, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the most prized new skyscraper in the Hong Kong is also the headquarters of Christie’s Asia.
Anatomy of Time is a kinetic optical sculpture that invites reflection on the invisible forces shaping our universe. Drawing inspiration from cosmology and the spiral geometry of galaxies, its vortex form embodies the tension between gravity and light, stillness and motion.
Standing three meters tall, this elevated liquid sculpture, the largest of its kind, reframes its architectural surroundings through distortion and inversion, rendering the lobby and its visitors part of an unfolding visual field. As light bends through its fluid body, the sculpture animates the space with a quiet intensity, transforming the environment into a subtly shifting, immersive experience.
In perpetual motion, Anatomy of Time becomes a meditation on transience, energy, and the nature of perception, an invitation to consider how time itself moves through us.
